Duvall retired with 28 winning seasons, which included a 251-75 record, 26 postseason appearances, and 5 state runner up finishes. Duvall was 64.

Hamer spent the last two seasons as the video coordinator for the basketball team. Before coming to Champaign, Hamer worked as a video coordinator in the NBA. 

(Urbana-cf)-- Fighting Illini football offensive lineman Doug Kramer was named to the Rotary Lombardi Award Watchlist. The Rotary Lombardi Award is given to the best Offensive/Defensivelineman in the NCAA. The winner has to show outstanding performance and ability, and best exemplifies the character of NFL Hall of Fame Coach Vince Lombardi. This is Kramer’s third watchlist thus far.

(Tokyo-cf)-- The USA Men’s basketball team held off Spain Tuesday morning 95-81 to advance to the Semi-Finals. The men’s team has a chance to medal in their 4th straight Olympics. Team USA takes on Australia tonight at 11:15pm for a chance to advance to the gold medal game.

The Bulls signed Point Guard Lonzo Ball to a 4 year $85million deal, and Power Forward Alex Caruso to a 4 year $37 million deal. There are still rumors that the Bulls could sign DeMar DeRozen during free agency. 

(Indianapolis-cf)-- The Indianapolis Colts have placed quarterback Carson Wentz on the Injured List. Wentz suffered a foot injury on the first day of training camp. Wentz will have to undergo surgery to remove a bone, it is estimated that he will miss 5 to 12 weeks.

The Ralph Loschen Award, which is awarded to the most outstanding player, went to Drake Schrodt of the Buckley Dutchmasters.

The Virgil Scheiwe Award, which goes to the most outstanding pitcher, went to Adam Carver of the Paxton Swedes.

The Dick Franzen Award which is awarded to the Batting Champion went to Colton Carr of the Royal Giants. It should be noted that Luis Rodriquez of the Buckley Dutchmasters had the highest batting average on the year, but fell short of the plate appearances required by league rules to qualify for the award. 

The E. I. Regular season Champions were the Royal Giants.
