In the opening weekend of Eastern Illinois Baseball the Royal Giants are on top of the regular season with 2 wins over Arcola. The Giants won the games by scores of 8 to 2 and 4 to nothing. The Buckley Dutchmasters and the Paxton Swedes split a twin bill last Sunday at Schiewe Field in Buckley. The Swedes won the first game 10 to 7 and the Dutchmasters blanked the Swedes in game 2 10 to zero.
Schedule this weekend…The Royal Giants visit Memorial Field in Paxton to take on the Swedes. Arcola is on the road at Buckley for two games on Sunday with the Buckley Dutchmasters. All Doubleheaders begin at 1pm on Sunday
