(Indianapolis-cf)-- AJ Almendinger was Sunday's Nascar Cup Series winner from the Indy 500 road course in chaotic fashion. Two major wrecks on turn 14 sent the race into double overtime which put Chase Brisco and Denny Hamlin in the top two spots, both who wrecked on the final lap which sent Almendinger to the lead for his first Cup Series win of the season. 

 

(WPXN-cf)-- Taking a look at the MLB Standings as the season hits the middle of August: The Chicago Cubs after the fire sale at the trade deadline sit at 52-68 on the season and 20.5 back from the Milwaukee Brewers. The St. Louis Cardinals sit in third in the NL Central at 61-56. The Cards are two games back from the Reds and 10 back from the Brewers. The Chicago White Sox still hold on to a 10 game lead over Cleveland after losing this weekend's series to the Yankees.
