Chicago White Sox def New York Yankees 9-8 in the first MLB game played in Iowa as the game was played at the newly built field at the Field of Dreams.

 

 

(Chicago-cf)-- The Chicago Cubs announced a roster move Thursday afternoon. The North Siders cut starting Pitcher Jake Arrietta. Arietta started the season with 2.45 ERA, in the month of April, but has ballooned to 8.76 since. Arietta has not pitched more than 5 innings since May 12. 

 

 

(Urbana-cf)-- The Fighting Illini Football program is two weeks away from opening the season with the Week 1 game against Nebraska. The Illini are planning to scrimmage at the upcoming practice on Monday. Head Coach Bret Bieleama says that the coaching staff is treating the scrimmage just like they would a game…
