Cubs and Brewers Clinch Playoff Spots with Wins

MLB

Albert Almora Jr. delivered a game ending RBI Single in the 10th inning to lead the Cubs over the Pirates 7-6. It allowed the Cubs to clinch its fourth straight post- season appearance.

 

The Brewers clinched a playoff spot as they beat the Cardinals 2-1.

 

The Indians beat the White Sox 10-2.

Kolten Wong hit the first of 4 homers and Miles Mikolas earned his 16th victory as the Cardinals beat the Braves 11-6.

Cubs Win in 10th, Week 4 IHSA Football

UNDATED (AP) — The Chicago Cubs needed 10 innings to add a half-game to their lead in the National League Central. Kris Bryant doubled and scored on a bunt single by Javier Baez with one out in the 10th to give the Cubs a 4-3 victory over the Nationals in Washington.

Cubs Stay 4 Games Ahead of Brewers and Cardinals

Jose Quintana pitched 6 ? strong innings and Daniel Murphy homered as the Cubs beat the Brewers 6-4 and maintain 4 game lead over the Brewers and Cardinals.

 

Matt Adams homered twice as the Cardinals beat the Nationals 7-6.

The PBL Panther Volleyball team had a tough task Tuesday night facing the St. Thomas More Sabres. The Sabres won the match 25-22 and 26-24. PBL head coach Lindsay Stalowy feels the team didn’t show up ready to play.

Cubs Lead is 5 Games in the NL Central

The Reds beat the Cardinals 6-4 in 10 innings.

 

James Shields threw 6 scoreless innings, Tim Anderson and Daniel Palka each homered as the White Sox beat the Red Sox 8-0.

 

Brad Keselowski beat leader Kyle Larson out of the pits with 22 laps to go, then pulled away on a restart to win the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. Joey Logano was second, followed by Larson, Kevin Harvick, and Chase Elliott.
