The request will be submitted for consideration by the Illinois Board of Higher Education, Gov. JB Pritzker and the Legislature. The requested increase would support four goals: keeping more Illinois students in the state and supporting their success; enhancing academic excellence by recruiting and retaining faculty and staff; accounting for inflationary and other cost increases; and support for other state-funded operations.
