(Undated-jm) -- The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 9,152 new Coronavirus cases since Friday and 106 additional deaths. The seven day positivity rate is 5 percent. Locally since Friday, Vermilion County reported 88 new cases bringing their total to 12,195. Champaign County reported 204 new cases and 2 additional deaths bringing their total number of cases to 25,458 and deaths to 180. Iroquois County reported 107 new cases bringing their total to 3,864. Ford County did not have a report Monday.

(Minnesota-jm) -- The leader of an Illinois anti-government militia group who authorities say masterminded the 2017 bombing of a Minnesota mosque was sentenced Monday to 53 years in prison on several civil rights and hate crimes. Emily Claire Hari, who was previously known as Michael Hari faced a mandatory minimum of 30 years in prison for the attack on Dar al-Farooq Islamic Center. Hari was convicted in December on five counts, including damaging property because of its religious character and obstructing the free exercise of religious beliefs.

(Springfield-jm) -- Governor J-B Pritzker is announcing help for those who need child care in order to head back to work. Starting October 1st, eligible parents actively looking for a job can get three months of free daycare. Governor Pritzker says this will benefit families and the economy…

(Undated-jm) -- Stock and Field stores will have a new name. R.P. Lumber bought the stores as part of a bankruptcy process last spring. The stores will now be called R.P. Home and Harvest. 

 

 

(Undated-jm) -- Gas prices have fallen 8.7 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.05 per gallon. According to officials at Gasbuddy, the current gas prices are 23.0 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
