Illinois Department of Revenue Spokesperson Maura Kownacki (kuh-nacky). The state will be notifying an estimated 33 hundred taxpayers who filed paper returns that they will need to submit an amended return to get the refund.

(Urbana-jm) -- The man accused of driving into the Champaign County Jail is not expected in front of a judge until Monday. Yevgeniy Nikolaev will be arraigned at 8:45 via Zoom. The 37-year-old is being held at the McLean County Jail. Authorities say he can’t be in Champaign County because he’s a security risk.

(Paxton-jm) -- Jury trials are expected to begin next week in Ford County. After more than a year, jury trials will resume in the Ford County courthouse in Paxton.

 

 

(Hoopeston-jm) -- Hoopeston police are investigating a trio of thefts recently. A scooter was reported stolen in the 200 block of North Market Street. A concrete goose was reported stolen in the 400 block of East Seminary Avenue. A stolen license plate sticker was reported in the 300 block of East Penn Street. Anyone with information is asked to call Hoopeston police.
