(Pesotum-jm) -- A train containing flour and alcohol derailed near Pesotum Tuesday evening. Crews from the Champaign County Emergency Management Agency, Champaign County Sheriff’s Department and several fire departments responded to the derailment. No word on if there were any injuries.

Iroquois County reported 4 new cases bringing their total to 3,014. Champaign County reported 25 new cases bringing their total to 20,559. (Urbana-jm) -- An Indiana man will spend over a decade in prison for attempted child sex crimes in Illinois. Caleb Hickman of Granger, Indiana was sentenced to 15 years in prison for attempted enticement, sexual exploitation of a minor, and attempted receipt of child pornography. Officials say the crimes occurred between February 14 and May 26, 2020, in Champaign and Kankakee Counties.
