More than 10 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Illinois

(Pesotum-jm) -- A train containing flour and alcohol derailed near Pesotum Tuesday evening. Crews from the Champaign County Emergency Management Agency, Champaign County Sheriff’s Department and several fire departments responded to the derailment. No word on if there were any injuries.

The Governor says they are addressing that problem with mobile units, local clinics and making the shot available in doctor’s offices. The latest daily total includes more than 15 hundred new cases of COVID-19 in Illinois and 26 deaths. Vermilion County reported 77 new cases bringing their total to 9,747. Iroquois County reported 4 new cases bringing their total to 3,014. Champaign County reported 25 new cases bringing their total to 20,559. The Iroquois County Public Health Department is hosting a free walk in Johnson and Johnson one dose COVID vaccine clinic today at Iroquois Memorial Hospital from 8 to 12:30.

(Urbana-jm) -- An Indiana man will spend over a decade in prison for attempted child sex crimes in Illinois. Caleb Hickman of Granger, Indiana was sentenced to 15 years in prison for attempted enticement, sexual exploitation of a minor, and attempted receipt of child pornography. Officials say the crimes occurred between February 14 and May 26, 2020, in Champaign and Kankakee Counties.
