(Urbana–jc)  – University of Illinois students acted in record time once again to Fighting Illini men's basketball ticket sales. The entire allotment of 3,000 student season tickets for State Farm Center was claimed within the first minute, with the processing of all sales covering a span of nine minutes. 

This breaks last year's record of 18 minutes and marks the sixth year in a row that Orange Krush tickets have sold out quickly Fighting Illini Basketball has high expectations once again in 2026-27, appearing in the Top 5 of numerous preseason rankings

 

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois men's and women's cross-country teams are prepared for the Gans Creek Classic on Friday (Sept. 25) in Columbia, Mo. The women's 6k will start at 8 a.m. CT, and the men's 8k will begin at 8:45 a.m. CT.

The Illini finished the Fighting Illini Invitational in first place for both the men and women with great performances. Kennady Anderson led the women's team, finishing second with a time of 13:25.6. Two new transfers were next to cross for Illinois, first with Abbi Steiner, who took sixth (13:47.7), and following right behind was Olivia Haas, placing seventh (13:47.7) to be in the top-3 for the Illini women's team.
