Paxton Swedes won a double header over the Arcola High Riders 12-2 and 11-0.

The Paxton Swedes got together to dedicate a tree at Memorial Field in memory of Jim Fox.

The NASCAR Cup Series race in Michigan was stopped with 51 laps remaining to repair a damaged SAFER barrier after a hard crash involving Christopher Bell and Chase Elliott. William Byron was leading the race when it was red flagged.

In our broadcast game from Dwight High School the Armstrong Potomac Trojans beat Gibson City Melvin Sibley 4 to 3. Armstrong Potomac advances to the IHSA Class 1-A Elite 8 game later today against the Tremont Turks at Illinois Wesleyan University.

 

In 2-A Sectional Final action from Monticello High School, the St Joe Ogden Spartans beat the Unity Rockets 6 to 4 in 9 innings.

St Joe Odgen plays Williamsville at 7 tonight at Lincolnland College in Springfield
