(Monticello–jc)  Hunter Brewer drove in four runs on one hit to lead Buckley Dutchmasters past the White Heath Warriors  in game one yesterday in Monticello. The Dutchmasters won game one 13 to 0. Braden Roesch struck out 15 batters on the day. The hurler also gave up zero hits and zero runs over five innings while walking six. Game one was a combined no hitter for the Dutchmaster staff

–GAME 2–

Buckley Dutchmasters won game two over the White Heath Warriors 10-0 on Sunday in Game 2  at Monticello High School. Buckley Dutchmasters opened the scoring in the top of the second thanks to two sacrifice flies. Buckley Dutchmasters first got on the board when Noah Steiner hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Buckley Dutchmasters scored five runs on four hits in the top of the fourth inning. Hunter Brewer tripled, scoring one run, Nate Reed doubled, scoring one run, Charles Cambridge drew a walk, scoring one run, Tuff Elson hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Ryker Small doubled, scoring one run.

Alex Bielfeldt earned the win for the Dutchmasters.

(Undated–jc)  Congratulations to Addison Lucht. She is the Girls 1A State Champion in the Triple Jump at the IHSA 1A State Track Meet on Saturday in Charleston.  Mahomet Seymour’s Madalyn Marx won the 400 meter state championship in the IHSA 2A State Track meet on Saturday in Charleston.

 

(East Peoria–jc)  Several Junior High Athletes from the area had top finishes in the I E S A Boys and Girls 3A and 4A State Track meet over the Weekend. Iroquois West 7th grader Jalisa Medina is the State IESA Champion in the 7th Grade 3A Long Jump. Paxton Buckley Loda’s Tomasi Suaava Finished in 3rd place in the Shot Put and 4th in the Discuss at the state meet.
