(Bloominton–jc)  –– Illinois dropped its final game of the regular season, 11-2, on the road to Indiana on Saturday afternoon. The Fighting Illini enter the Big Ten Tournament with a 28-25 record and a 14-16 mark in Big Ten play.

Cole Warehime posted his third three-hit day of the season, going 3-for-4 while tallying his first Big Ten home run on a solo shot in the fifth. J.R. Nelson went 2-for-3 at the plate with a solo homer, his third long ball of the year.

(Undated–jc)  – The Big Ten Conference has revealed the full bracket for the 2026 Big Ten Baseball Tournament set for tomorrow through Sunday at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Omaha, Neb. Illinois is set to serve as the No. 9 seed at the six-day, 12-team competition. The Fighting Illini will begin Big Ten Tournament play on Tuesday, May 19, at 1 p.m. CT against No. 8-seeded Iowa.
