(Chicago-dg)-Steve “Mongo”McMichael, a star defensive tackle for the Chicago Bears 1985 Super Bowl Championship team has died following a long battle with ALS. He was 67. He was an All Pro in 1985 and 1987 and inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2024. 

 

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fighting Illini women's basketball head coach Shauna Green has announced the hiring of Jackie Alexander as an assistant coach. Alexander joins the Illinois program after one season on Toledo's staff. Alexander has coached at Toledo,  East Tennessee State, Eastern Kentucky , Albany, and Air Force .

The Tennessee Titans have the first pick followed by Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars. Miami quarterback Cam Ward is expected to be chosen with the first pick. Draft coverage begins at 7pm.
