CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fighting Illini fifth-year forward Kendall Bostic has been named one of the top 10 candidates for the Katrina McClain Award Power Forward of the Year, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced earlier today.

One of two honorees from the Big Ten, Bostic is averaging 16.0 points, 11.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 34.5 minutes per game across her final year of collegiate basketball. She has started 115 consecutive games since transferring to Illinois ahead of her sophomore season and now holds the program's career rebounding record.  Bostic is the first player in program history to be named a top 10 candidate for any Basketball Hall of Fame's Naismith Starting 5 award.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Illinois pitching coach Mark Allen passed away Wednesday at the age of 49, his family announced. He spent five seasons as Illinois' pitching coach from 2020-24.  Illini baseball coach Dan Hartlieb says it is a sad and difficult day for the Illini, along with family and friends.
