CHAMPAIGN, Ill.– Illinois head coach Brad Underwood announced Thursday the signing of Keaton Wagler to a Big Ten Athletics Scholarship Agreement. Wagler is a 6-foot-6, 180-pound guard from Shawnee, Kansas. He is a four-star recruit by 247Sports, ranked as the No. 150 player overall in the class of 2025, and the No. 28 shooting guard. Wagler attends Shawnee Mission Northwest High School, playing for coach David Birch. He averaged 12.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists as a junior, shooting 52% from the field, 50% from 3-point range, and 80% from the free throw line.
ROSEMONT, Ill. – Illinois redshirt freshman wrestler Kannon Webster was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week the conference announced yesterday. He's the first Big Ten Freshman of the Week winner in program history. Webster is ranked No. 10 at 149 pounds by InterMat and he's a perfect 6-0 to start his redshirt freshman season.
