CHAMPAIGN, Ill.– The All-Big Ten teams and individual award winners were announced on Tuesday by the conference office, as well as Big Ten accolades from the Associated Press. The Illinois program was once again well represented on the list of league honors.

Fifth-year Terrence Shannon Jr. (Chicago) is a first-team All-Big Ten selection by the coaches, media, and AP. He is the Big Ten's second-leading scorer and No. 8 nationally at 21.6 points per game, the highest scoring average by an Illini in the last 51 years. He has 15 20-point games this season including four 30-point outings, tying for the third-most 30-point performances in a season in program history. Shannon tallied a career-high 35 points Feb. 21 at Penn State and has scored in double figures in 35 consecutive games overall, including all 25 of his appearances this season.

This is the second year in a row that Shannon is a first-team All-Big Ten pick by the league coaches. He is the fourth player in Illinois history to reach 1,000 points in just two years, and is closing in on 2,000 for his career (1,990 entering Big Ten Tournament).

Graduate student Marcus Domask (Waupun, Wis.) is a first-team All-Big Ten pick by the coaches and AP, while garnering second-team accolades by the media. He also has been voted Big Ten Newcomer of the Year by AP. Domask is one of the nation's top transfers, averaging 16.0 points and 4.9 rebounds while leading the Illini with 3.5 assists per game. He has three 30-point games this season, including a career-high 33 at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 5 in the win over Florida Atlantic and 31 in a March 2 victory at the Kohl Center in the return to his home state of Wisconsin. Domask has eclipsed 2,000 career points, now sitting with 2,111 over his five-year career.

This marks the second time that Brad Underwood's program has two first-team All-Big Ten honorees in the same season
