The Illini won on Saturday 8 to 7 after dropping a one run loss on Friday night. The Scarlet Knights beat Illinois on Sunday by a score of 3 to nothing. The Illinoi close out the regular season this week with a three game series against the University of Tennessee Martin, That series begins on Thursday

(Champaign–jc) Illinois women's basketball rising senior Makira Cook has been named a finalist for the 2023 USA Women's AmeriCup Team, USA Basketball announced Sunday night. USA Basketball announced eight athletes selected to the 2023 USA Women's AmeriCup Team following three days of trials in Colorado Springs from May 12-14. Additionally, five finalists - including Cook - will return for AmeriCup training camp, which begins June 22 in Colorado Springs, to compete for the remaining four roster spots.
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Illinois track and field teams completed the third and final day of the Big Ten Outdoor Championships on Sunday, May 14. Junior Olivia Howell defended her 1,500m B1G title for the second time, she ran a 4:20.13 to secure the win. That's not all, she claimed a silver medal in the 5,000m just a couple hours later with the program's third fastest time (16:12.40). In the last lap she passed five runners, three of which were in the last 50 meters. She scored a team high 18 points and claimed first team All-Big Ten honors.
