Japan won 3-2 over the United States to claim the World Baseball Classic title. Los Angeles Angels star Shoehei Ohtani struck out Angel teammate Mike Trout for the final out to get the save.

 

NBA

New York Knick legend Willis Reed has died at the age of 80. Reed was a 7 time All Star selection, has 2 MVP Finals awards, and was the leader of 2 NBA Championships. He was the first player to sweep the MVP awards for the regular season, All Star game and NBA Finals during the 1969-70 season.
