(NCAA-dg)-Houston and Kansas remain at the top of the AP Top 25 poll after many teams in the top 25 lost. 11 teams went down, tying the most losses by top 25 teams since 2000. Purdue comes in at #3, with Alabama and UCLA finishing out the top 5. Gonzaga, Texas, Xavier, Tennessee and Virginia round out the top 10. Rutgers sits at #23. 

 

(Minnesota–jc)  The University of Illinois Fighting Illini now have 4 wins in a row after Monday's road win at Minnesota. The Illini won by a score of 78 to 60. U of I Men's Basketball Coach Brad Underwood says roadwins are keys to a good season and several players stepped up as the Illini were in foul trouble in the first half

Next up for Illinois is a home game on Thursday night against Indiana. We will have the game live starting at 6-30pm, courtesy of the Fighting Illini network. 


 

(Rantoul–jc)  –  Coaches in the Illini Prairie Conference know  about the tough competition from all schools on the boys basketball courts. Several teams have Division One college commits in basketball and other sports. Rantoul Boys Basketball Coach Ryan Parker's team battled state ranked Prairie Central last week but came up short. The Eagles are one and one in conference play and Coach Parker says you have to be ready each night for a different type of competition…
