The AL All Stars def NL All-Stars 5-2. 

The American League will have home field advantage for this year's World Series with last night's win. 

 

(Urbana-cf)-- Two Fighting Illini Baseball Players have been drafted in this year's MLB Draft. Left Handed Pitcher Nathan Lavender was selected in the 14th round by the New York Yankees, and Right Hand Pitcher Andrew Hoffman was selected in the 12th round by the Atlanta Braves. 

 

 

(Urbana-cf)-- Fighting Illini Football Head Coach Brett Bielema named Pete Roley as the new Director of Football Operations. Roley has been in the same position at North Carolina State since 2015. Roley is originally from North Aurora and played quarterback for Western Illinois University from 2006 to 2010. 

 

 

(St. Louis-cf)-- The St. Louis Cardinals are hoping to come out of the All-Star Break hot. First Baseman Paul Goldschmidt is known for grounding out plate appearances, working counts and fouling pitches. Goldschmidt says that it’s great, but it's got to produce runs…
