Illini pick up first win Saturday against Rutgers

The Fighting Illini won their first game last Saturday 23-20 against Rutgers on a James McCourt Field Goal, moving their overall record to 1-3. The Illini trailed 20-10 at the start of the third quarter. Sophomore QB Isaiah Williams now holds the single game rushing record by a QB after rushing for 192 yards, beating AJ Bush who held the record with 187 against Nebraska in 2018.

The Green Bay Packers held off the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-20. QB Aaron Rodgers threw for 325 yards and two touchdowns and 1 interception, his third on the year. The Packers move to 7-2 on the year and hold on to the top spot in the NFC North followed by Chicago(5-4), Detroit(4-5) and Minnesota(3-5). 

 

 

(WPXN-cf)-- Dustin Johnson put on the green jacket for the first time in his career yesterday. Johnson shot -20 for the weekend at The Masters Tournament in Augusta. The 2021 Masters Tournament is still scheduled to be played in April. 

 

 

(Urbana-cf)-- The Fighting Illini Men’s Basketball Program missed out on Top 75 point guard Tyty(TIE-TIE) Washington last night. The Arizona native announced on his Twitter and Instagram page that he will be heading to Creighton next season.
