(WPXN-cf)-- The IHSA met yesterday regarding winter sports. The IHSA announced they are formally inviting representatives from Governor Pritzkers Office as well as IDPH, Illinois Principals Association, Illinois Association Of School Administrators, and the Illinois State Board of Education to their meeting on Nov. 19. The IHSA released numbers to the survey sent to 816 schools in the Organization, of which 54t6 responded. 300 IHSA schools do not plan to start basketball on November 16, and 212 schools remain unsure of their status. 

 

(Paxton--jc)  --  One Paxton Buckley Loda High School  softball player is set to play in Division One College softball. P-B-L Student Athlete Bailey Cosgrove will play college softball at DePaul University. Congrats to Bailey on a great accomplishment. 

 

(Urbana-cf)-- The Braggin Rights game is still intact for the Fighting Illini. The University announced that the long time rivalry game will take place December 12th against Mizzou. The location will be determined tonight by a coin flip.

(Chicago-cf)-- Chicago Cubs Pitcher Yu Darvish finished second in the NL Cy Young voting this season. Darvish finished the season with 8 wins, 2.01 ERA, and 93 strikeouts in 76 innings.
