Kyle Busch wins weather delayed race at Texas

(WPXN-cf)-- The IHSA reached a decision yesterday afternoon on the decision of fall sports. Just 24 hours after the Illinois Department of Public Health moved the risk level of basketball from medium to high, the IHSA is proceeding with the basketball season as scheduled. Practices can begin starting Nov. 16 with games starting Nov. 30. In the IHSA guidance, there will be no more than 50 total people in the gym including players, coaches, and refs. Masks must be worn, and social distancing must be followed on the benches.

(Tampa-cf)-- The NFL is starting preparations for having fan attendance at the Super Bowl. The superbowl is scheduled to be played on February 7th at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Florida. The NFL is planning on 20% of the stadiums 65,000 seats to have spectators in them. Fans will be in pods 6 feet apart and masks will be mandatory.

(Chicago-cf)-- In the latest injury report, the Chicago Bears might be without two offensive players Sunday against the Saints. WR Allen Robinson is listed on the NFL’s concussion protocol, and Offensive Lineman Cody Whitehair is listed as day to day after a calf injury.

(St. Louis-cf)-- The St. Louis Cardinals have made a few roster moves already this offseason. Longtime catcher Yadier Molina is a free agent for the first time in his 17 year career with the Red Birds, with the expiration of his contract with the conclusion of the World Series. Molina is looking to play two more seasons, until he is 40 with the Cardinals but is open to playing for other teams. The Cardinals also declined the 2021 club-option for second baseman Kolten Wong. Wong is now a free agent, and is free to explore all options with the Cardinals or other teams.
