Cubs to retool, not rebuild according to Epstein

(Chicago-cf) Chicago Cubs President/Gm Theo Epstien spoke with the media yesterday for the first time since the Cubs were eliminated from the playoffs. Epstein told reporters that the Cubs will “retool, not rebuild” and that could also include changes in the Front Office. Epstein’s contract expires at the end of next season, and the Cubs also have several players that are up for contract extensions. 

 

 

(Urbana-cf)-- Illinois Quarterback Brandon Peters worked with 12-year NFL Hall of Famer Kurt Warner this offseason to help take him to the next step. Peters told reporters that the Super Bowl Champion QB gave him drills and advice to work on his accuracy, footwork, and the mental aspect of the game. The Fighting Illini Hit the gridiron for the first time this season in just two weeks. 

 

 

(Kansas City-cf)-- Another New England Patriots player has tested positive for COVID-19. This comes after QB Cam Newton has tested positive for the coronavirus, which caused the Chiefs and Patriots game to be delayed to Monday Night. The Chiefs have not reported any positive tests at this time.
