Cubs & Cards Split a double header, White Sox win

MLB Scores:

The Chicago Cubs split a double-header with the St. Louis Cardinals yesterday. The Cardinals took game one 9 to 3 and the Cubs took game two 4-3.

The Chicago White Sox beat the Detroit Tigers 5-3

(Indianapolis-cf)-- Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren won’t revisit the postponement of fall sports. The Big Ten has faced significant backlash from the August 11 announcement to postpone Big Ten football. “We understand the disappointment and the timing of the decision which came six days after the league announced it’s 10 game schedule” Warren said. The NCAA also made a statement on eligibility of fall athletes. The NCAA Council voted yesterday to recommend all athletes whose fall seasons are being altered by the pandemic to get another year of eligibility.

(Nortan Mass-cf)-- Brooks Koepka withdrew from the Northern Trust yesterday afternoon. Koepka has had a knee alignment through the restart which has not healed, and he has ended his PGA run for this year. Koepka, who was ranked first to start the season, finished 97th in the Fed-Ex cup standings.
