(Bloomington-cf)-- The IHSA will take part in a roundtable discussion this Friday with the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Illinois State Board of Education. In a release from the IHSA, IHSA Director Craig Anderson said “The Illinois High School Association will meet with IDPH, and IDES, we expect this meeting will provide important guidance on how the IHSA will proceed with fall sports.” WPXN will provide the latest information as it becomes available. 

 

 

(MLB-cf)-- Earlier this week the Candaian government told the Toronto Blue Jays no games could be played in the city of Toronto. The Blue Jays organization were denied by the state of Pennsylvania to play a majority of their home games at the Pittsburgh Pirates stadium. The MLB opening day is scheduled for tomorrow. 

 

 

(Chicago-cf)-- Bears fans will have to wear masks this season if allowed at Soldier Field. The NFL released a statement yesterday afternoon notifying all teams in the NFL that if games are able to be played this season, all fans, and staff will have to follow the mask mandate. Players are going to be wearing a modified shield, similar to the visor worn on many players helmets. 

 

This Friday at the Farmer City Raceway it's the 10th annual Jr. Kimler Memorial race with $3 thousand dollars to win for Late Models plus a full show. Gates open at 4pm, Hot laps at 6:30pm, Qualifying at 7pm and racing gets underway at 7:30pm. Admission is $12 for adults, veterans get in for $5, and kids 12 and under are free.
