Illinois is now in the middle of the pack in terms of the state's government-mandated COVID-19 restrictions

Congress allowed local governments to use the funding for several purposes including supporting local businesses, however, the Pritzker administration is making that an ineligible expense. If a city can’t find eligible expenses to use the money, the money would be allocated somewhere else. The state is also proposing shortening the time frame cities can get reimbursed by 60 days.
