MLB 60 game season has been approved

(MLB-cf)-- The framework for the MLB 60 game season has been approved, and both the owners of each team, and players have agreed on the 60 game season as well as full prorated pay. Each team would start play on July 20th, and a Sunday opener on July 19th could be added. With this new plan, Players would receive 37% of their expected salaries for the 2020 season, with the regular season ending on Sept. 27. The playoff format would add 6 more teams than the original plan, expanding it to 16 teams, and post season play would conclude in late October.
