No. 21 Illinois used a second-half offensive flurry to pull away from Purdue 79-62 for its fifth consecutive win. Kofi Cockburn scored 22 points and had 15 rebounds to lead the Fighting Illini on Tuesday night. Trent Frazier added 21 points. Illinois swept the Boilermakers for the first time since 2008-09

Derek Jeter and Larry Walker will be giving speeches in Cooperstown, New York, this summer. Jeter was a near-unanimous selection for induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame. The former Yankees shortstop and longtime team captain appeared on all-but one of the 397 ballots cast by the Baseball Writers' Association of America. Walker will join Jeter on the induction stage after being elected in his 10th year on the ballot.
