Cissna Park and GCMS advance to 1A and 2A Sectional Finals

(Colfax--jc)  -- The Cissna Park Timberwolves have advanced to the 1-A Sectional Final on Friday nite by beating the Grant Park Dragons 71-48  last night at Ridgeview High School. Cissna Park Boys Basketball Coach Kevin Long notched his 500 win as a coach in the victory. Coach Long says the team got off to a good start  and played good defense too…

Christian Stadeli had 25 points. Sophomore Ian Rogers had 10 points to lead the way for Cissna Park.

In 2-A Sectional semi-finals from Unity of Tolono High School, Gibson City Melvin Sibley won over Tuscola 50 to 30.Ryland Holt led with 13 points.

That sets up Sectional final games on Friday night.

In 2-A at Unity its Bloomington Central Catholic vs Gibson City Melvin Sibley

In 1-A at Ridgeview High School its Cissna Park and Champaign Judah Christian.

Zach LaVine scored 12 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter and the Chicago Bulls held on to beat the Memphis Grizzlies 109-107.

Patrick Kane scored with 16.1 seconds remaining on an odd-man rush and the Chicago Blackhawks rallied for a 4-3 victory over the Anaheim Ducks.
