Cale's Corner

It is starting to become more and more apparent that there will not be many wide receives left in the draft, something that the Chicago Bears really need help with. Thus far Henry Ruggs, CeeDee Lamb, Jerry Jeudy, Jalen Reagor, and Justin Jefferson are all off of the board. I was hoping the Jefferson would have fallen to the second round, down far enough for the Bears to be able to snag him but Minnestoa said otherwise. There are still 5 picks left and here are the best available wideouts at this point according to

  1. Michael Pittman- USC

  2. Tee Higgons-Clemson

  3. Laviska Shenault Jr- Colorado

  4. Denzel Mims- Baylor

  5. KJ Hamler- Penn State

If you want to follow chalk these are the next available wide receivers. If you watched the National Championship game this season, we have already seen a dose of Tee Higgons and what he brings to the table. 3 Receptions for 52 yards with an average of 17.3 yards per catch in the national championship game. In the 2019 season, Higgons tallied 59 catches for 1,167 yards, 13 touchdowns with an average of 20 yards per catch. If he is still on the board for the start of the second round tomorrow, and then he might fit in Matt Nagy’s system.
