(Chicago–jc) Illinois Legislators are expected to address a new voting measure when they return to Springfield on Tuesday. Some states around the country are looking to further secure the election process, but Illinois is moving in a different direction. Members of the Illinois House could look at House Bill 41-98 , which would allow people to vote by mail for all elections rather than sending notices to voters to vote in any one election period. One measure expected to come before the Illinois General Assembly next week is House bill 41-98 which would allow actual ballots be sent to qualified voters rather than just a notice to receive a ballot by mail. Some opponents of the measure say the identification process of voters and ballot security could be in jeopardy with this idea. The Illinois House reconvenes on Tuesday in Springfield.
