(Watseka–jc)  The Watseka boys game at Watseka vs Milford tonight will be this season's "Throwback Game."  This year they are recognizing the 72 year history of the Iroquois County Tournament. There will be a 12 page program filled with history and information about the County Tournament that was played from 1926-1997. Players, cheerleaders, and coaches that participated in the County will also be recognized. Fans are encouraged to dress as the time period they were in school, as if they were at a county tourney game. Students should dress in the decade that their parents would have been in. Both teams will be wearing commemorative warm-ups and the Warriors will be wearing replica uniforms honoring the 1975 State 3rd place team. The JV game will tip-off at 6:00pm followed by the varsity game.

 

(Champaign-jm) – High school wrestlers across the state will prepare for the Illinois High School Association Wrestling Individual State Championships, February 15th–17th. Over 650 wrestlers from 250 high schools will compete this weekend at the State Farm Center, with hopes to make it under the spotlight for the championship match. The matches, featuring fourteen weight classes across three divisions, kick off at noon Thursday and run through Saturday evening. With an estimated total attendance of nearly 30,000 and multiple room nights in local accommodations, local officials estimate a $5.5 million economic impact to the area.


Tonight on WPXN it's Fighting Illini Basketball as Illinois takes on Michigan at State Farm Center. Pregame at 5pm with tip at 6pm. Then its bonus coverage of IHSA Boys Basketball as the PBL Panthers take on the St. Joe Ogden Spartans on Senior night.
