The United States crushed Cuba to earn a chance to defend its title. The Americans won 14-2 thanks to a 2 run shot from Paul Goldschmidt in the first inning. Trea Turner added a pair of homeruns, Cedric Mullins hit a homerun and St. Louis Cardinal pitchers Adam Wainwright and Miles Mikolas pitched a combined 8 innings. Wainwright got the win. Team USA will play the winner of Japan and Mexico for the Championship. 

 

NASCAR

Joey Logano dominated early and then passed Brad Keselowski on the final lap to win at Atlanta Motor speedway. Christopher Bell finished 3rd, Coery LaJoie finished a career best 4th. Nascar moves to Austin, Texas and the Circuit of the Americas this coming Sunday.
