The "Field of Dreams" game postponed

MLB Scoreboard from last night: 

Kris Bryant homered in his return to the lineup as the Cubs beat the Royals 2-0. 

 

Jose Abreau and Yoan Moncada homered as the White Sox beat the Brewers 6-4.

 

The Cardinals and Tigers were postponed.

 

 

(WPXN-cf)-- The Vermilion Valley Conference will be broken down into two divisions next season with the arrival of multiple teams. The Vermilion Valley North will consist of: Seneca, Momence, Dwight, Clifton Central, Watseka, and Iroquois West. The South will have Hoopeston Area, Georgetown-Ridgefarm, Westville, Bismarck-Henning-Rossvile-Alvin, Salt Fork, and Oakwood. 

 

 

(WPXN-cf)-- Could  Illini Basketball crack the preseason top 10 for the first time since 2005? There is a very strong chance that the Illini, with the return of Junior guard Ayo Dosunmu, and Sophomore big man Kofi Cockburn could be ranked in the preseason. 

 

 

(Dyersville IA-cf)-- The “Field of Dreams” game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago White Sox has been called off. The game will be made up in 2021 with the White Sox as one of the opponents. 

 

 

(Evanston-cf)-- The Northwestern Wildcats Football program has postponed football workouts due to positive Covid tests. According to the Chicago Tribune, some players have already been placed in quarantine, and “regiours health and safety protocols, as well as contact tracing are underway.” There has only been one positive test in the program as of last night. 

 

 

(Undated-cf)-- Could there be an XFL 3.0? The XFL first launched in 2001 when owner of the WWE Vince McMahon launched the league, which only lasted one season. The league was relaunched in February of this year, and only lasted one year. Actor, and former WWE Star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson purchased the XFL for $15 million yesterday. Johnson and his investors are planning to launch the season in 2021 with the new bubble concept due to the coronavirus pandemic.
