The Cubs kept pace with the Cardinals as Kyle Schwarber’s grand slam highlighted a five-run sixth that led them to a 10-5 win at Milwaukee.

 

Dakota Hudson pitched 6 scoreless innings as did the bullpen and the Cardinals blanked the Giants 10-0. 

 

Reynaldo López pitched a one-hitter for his first complete game in 75 career big league starts, and the Chicago White Sox beat the Cleveland Indians 7-1 Thursday.

The 100th NFL season has opened with a victory for the Green Bay Packers.

Aaron Rodgers hit Jimmy Graham in the second quarter for the game's only touchdown as the Packers beat the Bears, 10-3 in Chicago.
