Kyle Schwarber hit a solo home run with one out in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Chicago Cubs a 4-3 comeback victory over the Cincinnati Reds. 

The Pirates beat the Cardinals, 3-1.

 The Kansas City Royals beat the Chicago White sox 11-0. 

Coming off a second consecutive Class 1A State Championship, Danville Schlarman senior Capria Brown has had many offers to continue her basketball career at the college level including Xavier, Michigan and Penn St.. But one offer came from a University closer to home. Brown was offered a scholarship from Illinois last week. She said she was honored and blessed at Illinois’ offer.
