Jose Martinez hit a pinch single to plate the tying and winning runs in the bottom of the 9th as the Cardinals beat the Rockies 3-2.

 

Jose Abreu and Daniel Palka hit homeruns in the eighth  inning to lead the White Sox over the Royals 6-4.

 

NFL Preseason

The Bears lost to the Ravens 17-16 in the preseason opener for both teams.

 

Tonight at the Farmer City Races it’s the What Up Dog 40 as the Midwest Street Stocks Championship comes to town to with a thousand dollars up from grabs. Then catch the best in Late Models, Pro Lates and Modifieds. Gates open at 4pm. Hot laps at 6:30 with racing to begin around 7:30.
